Square Enix is celebrating the Kingdom Hearts series' 15th anniversary next March with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, a collection of six remastered titles for PlayStation 4.
The trailer above shows some classic, graphically enhanced moments from across all six games, like Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth by Sleep. The upgraded, "final mix" versions of these and three more games — Re:Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days and Re:coded — will be included in the PS4 set.
With the release of the Remix collection, PS4 owners and Kingdom Hearts lovers will be able to play nearly every game in the series on the console. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue HD will arrive on PS4 first on Jan. 24, 2017, a set which includes Dream Drop Distance, χ Back Cover and new adventure 0.2: Birth by Sleep.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix launches March 28, 2017 — exactly 15 years after the first game hit PlayStation 2 back in 2002. The long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 is also bound for PS4, along with Xbox One. A release date has been unannounced.
